Mirpur: Bangladesh easily defeated Ireland by 7 wickets in the only test match, Bangladesh easily achieved the target of 138 runs for the loss of 3 wickets on the fourth day of the test match,

 Mushfiqur Rahim scored a century in the first innings and a century in the second innings. I was adjudged player of the match for scoring a half-century. Ireland resumed the innings on 286 for 8 on the fourth day of the lone Test at the Sher Bangla Stadium, Mirpur on Friday. Could not extend and the Irish team was bowled out for 292 runs.

Bangladesh’s Tejul Islam dismissed 4 and Ibadah Hussain 3.

Shakibul Hasan took 2 wickets and Shariful Islam took 1 wicket. Thus, Bangladesh got a target of 138 runs for victory in the Test match, which Bangladesh easily achieved in 27.1 overs for the loss of three wickets. Mushfiqur Rahim, who scored a century in the previous innings, once again batted responsibly and played a not out innings of 51 runs.

 

Opener Tamim Iqbal scored 31 runs and Latin Das scored 23 runs. Momin-ul-Haq remained not out with 20 runs. Ireland’s Mark Adair, Andy McBrien and Ben White got one wicket each. Bangladeshi batsman Mushfiqur Rahim was adjudged player of the match for his brilliant performance. It should be noted that in the Dhaka Test, Ireland scored 214 runs in the first innings and 292 runs in the second innings, while Bangladesh scored 369 runs in the first innings.
