Islamabad: Annually in the first 9 months of the current financial year in the sales of cars in the country, A decrease of 46 percent have been recorded on the base, but there has been a general increase in car sales in March compared to February.

 

 According to the data of the All Pakistan Auto Manufacturers Association, 110,405 units of cars were sold in the country during the period from July to March. 205,452 units of cars were recorded in the country during the same period last fiscal, which is 46% lower than the same period last fiscal.

In March, the country recorded 9351 units of car sales, which is 66% lower than last year’s 27202 units in March. The country recorded sales of 6072 units of cars which increased to 9351 units in March.

 

 

According to statistics, in the first 9 months of the current financial year, the sales of Pak Suzuki Motor Company’s cars decreased by 47 percent on an annual basis. In the same period, there were 109419 units.

 

However, compared to February, the sales of Pak Suzuki cars in March have increased significantly by 475% on a monthly basis. In February, the sales of Pak Suzuki cars were recorded at 978 units, which increased to 5628 units in March. According to the data, in the first 9 of the current financial year, Indus Motors’ car sales fell by 55 percent on a year-on-year basis in the month, with the company recording 25,592 units of car sales in the period as against 56,567 units in the same period last fiscal.

Compared to February, the sales of Indus Motors cars in March have recorded a decline of 6% on a monthly basis. The sales of Honda Atlas cars have recorded a decrease of 46% on an annual basis in the first 9 months of the current financial year. In the first 9 months, the company recorded sales of 16,278 units of cars as compared to 30,010 units in the same period of the previous financial year. Hyundai Nishat Ltd’s car sales have declined by 4 percent on an annualized basis in the first nine months of the current financial year. During this period, the company recorded sales of 7902 units of cars as against 8262 units in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
