Bombay: Former Indian cricketer and Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu will be released from jail tomorrow after one year. The release of Navjot Singh Sidhu has been announced through his Twitter account.
Navjot Singh Sidhu was sentenced to one-year imprisonment by the Supreme Court in the 1988 road rage case.
The road rage case against Sidhu involved allegations that on December 27, 1988, Sidhu had punched Gurnam Singh in the head, killing him.
In May last year, Navjot Singh Sidhu was sentenced to one year in prison. The Supreme Court of India imposed a fine of 1000 rupees on Sidhu and released him. He was sentenced.
