Amid recent layoffs in the New York tech sector, seven people fired from Google have formed their own company.
He has given himself and his team six weeks to set up design and development studios in New York and San Francisco. In a LinkedIn post, he said he has the support of six former Google employees. They plan to set up the company before the 60-day time frame for layoff notifications expires in March.
A man who worked as a senior manager with Google was recently laid off as part of the company’s cost-cutting initiative but instead of giving up, he chose to start his own company. He was one of the 12,000 employees who were laid off by the company. Henry Kirk worked at Google for many years.
He has also offered other Googlers to accompany him on his journey.
In his startup, he wants to offer design apps and research tools for other companies websites.
