The government has implemented the policy of quick issuance of new passports by eliminating the passport backlog, after the new notification citizens will be able to get passports within 10 days on normal fee and 4 days on urgent fee.
According to the notification issued, the fast track passport will be issued in just 2 days, all regional and executive passport offices were also ordered to display the notification. It should be noted that in the first week of April, the backlog of passports had crossed 5 lakhs, Urgent and Exact passports were also not being delivered within the stipulated period.

On the other hand, the last date for submission of biometric and valid passport of Hajj pilgrims has been fixed.

A meeting related to Hajj affairs was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister of Religious Affairs, Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood, in which Secretary Religious Affairs gave a detailed briefing on Hajj operations.
