US President Joe Biden got the authority to ban Tik Tok.
According to the international news organization, the American Parliamentary Committee approved the bill to give the President the power to ban Tik Tok. After the bill is passed, Joe Biden will now be able to ban any social media app deemed a security risk, including TikTok.
It should be noted that ByteDance-owned Chinese app TikTok is used by more than 100 million people in the United States.
Lawmakers voted 24 to 16 to give the administration new powers to impose the ban.
However, the US authorities consider the short video app TikTok as a security risk.
