Islamabad: Remittances of Pakistanis working in Holland were recorded at 18% on a monthly basis during February.

According to State Bank statistics, in February, Pakistanis working in the Netherlands sent 5.2 million dollars in foreign exchange, which is 18 percent more than the same period of the previous fiscal year. Compared to January, remittances from the Netherlands recorded a 21% increase on a monthly basis in February.

 

In January, Pakistanis working in the Netherlands sent 4.3 million dollars in foreign exchange to the country, which increased to 5.2 million dollars in February. In the first 8 months of the current financial year, the remittances of Pakistanis working in the Netherlands recorded a 7.5% decrease on an annual basis. From July to February 2023, Pakistanis working in the Netherlands sent 36 million dollars in foreign exchange to the country, which was 39 million dollars in the same period of the previous financial year. It should be noted that in the first 8 months of the current fiscal year, a 10.8 percent decrease in remittances from overseas Pakistanis was recorded on an annual basis.
